Rosewood has been the go-to choice for fine handle makers for generations. Its warm reddish-brown tones and flowing grain patterns create a handle that looks beautiful from every angle. Beyond aesthetics, rosewood offers excellent workability and a natural oil content that helps resist moisture. It feels warm in the hand and develops a rich patina with use.

Made to fit: this handle is made after you order and cut to your knife — we hold no finished stock. Exact dimensions are confirmed from your blade and tang measurements before work starts. We do not use one universal size for every knife.

Returns: because your handle is cut to one knife, it cannot be returned simply because you changed your mind — see the cancellation policy for what you get back at each stage. Damage, faults and anything not as described are always covered.

Our premium end cap handles feature a buffalo horn ferrule paired with a matching end cap for a refined, finished look on both ends. The end cap adds visual balance and protects the handle end from impact. Shaped from Siamese rosewood — each piece is hand-selected for grain character and shaped by hand using traditional methods.

The end-cap treatment suits longer knives — gyuto, sujihiki, yanagiba — where the visual weight of bookend horn at both ends mirrors the blade’s length. The capped butt resists chipping and patinas evenly with the ferrule over years of use, unlike a bare-wood end that can mark.
